The Holy Christian Seminary, along with the School of Ministry, is the preparation center for Christian ministry in the local church and to the world with Ecclesiastical programs that equip students with ministry skills and education to fulfill their calling and engage in the “Great Commission.” High academic standards and rigorous programs engage serious students, Our mission is to provide a quality biblical education to individuals who desire to serve in ministry, by providing students with a solid foundation that will cultivate their leadership potential into empowered effectiveness for Kingdom Ministry.

WHAT WE OFFER

Students who have completed the School of Ministry or have an Associate Degree or higher may apply to The Holy Christian Seminary. This two year program provides an advanced education in Biblical and ministerial studies that prepare the student for effective ministry in pastoral, ministerial, administrative, or teaching roles in an ecclesiastical setting. The Holy Christian Seminary offers instruction, training, and “hands on” internships to provide the tools necessary to successfully fulfill the student’s calling as:

Pastor: Thorough education in Old Testament and New Testament Studies as well as how to exegete passages for understanding and teaching one’s congregation; Sermon preparation; Preaching techniques and the development of one’s personal style of preaching; How to lead a congregation in the vision and mission of the church; Reaching beyond the walls of the local church in evangelism and outreach; How to grow a healthy local church; Developing and implementing an effective Christian Education plan; Church Administration; Understanding the many aspects of counseling; Developing a ministry team; Planting a church; and managing one’s family and personal life.

Evangelist: How to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ; Planning and implementing crusades and outreach events; Understanding the Biblical view of salvation, justification, and sanctification; Developing and leading a ministry team; Follow-up for new believers; and Ethics and Integrity.

Missionary: Developing a biblical world view; Cultural diversity; Multi-cultural evangelism; Cultural views vs. Biblical mandates; Meeting felt needs of the community; and Ministry on the mission field.

Church Administrator: Developing a church budget; Management of resources; Planning for expansion; Creating a Ministry of Helps program; Successful execution of church and outreach events; Record keeping; Membership facilitation; Keeping pastoral schedules; Serving the pastor; and Time management.

Clergy: Ministering at the altar; Preparing and administering the sacraments; Understanding when and how to counsel individuals; Discernment; Ministering through the gifts of the Holy Spirit; How to walk someone through the process of salvation and Christian growth; Teaching believers; Serving under the direction of a pastor; Avoiding burn-out; and Ministering as part of a team.

Christian Education: Developing a Christian Education plan; Knowing the needs of your congregation; Finding the right curriculum; Keeping record of member’s education path; Developing an education team; Necessary components of successful plans; How to implement the plan; and Proper use of resources.

ENROLLMENT

The Holy Christian Seminary is a two year program. Classes will meet one weekend per month with additional coursework throughout and internship opportunities will be offered. Attendance at The Holy Christian Seminary is mandatory for those who seek to be involved in clergy, evangelism, or pastoral ministry in The Holy Christian Church International.

Students must register to attend The Holy Christian Seminary.
