Abrahamic Religions

An Abrahamic religion is defined as a religion whose followers believe that the prophet Abraham and his descendants hold an important role in human spiritual development, be this development positive or negative.  Yet, this definition is not an accurate one.

Because a religion ‘believes’ that Abraham is the forefather of its prophet and that his descendants hold an important role in human spiritual development, does not validate it as a religion in sync with the religion of Abraham  – Judaism: which in perfect harmony evolved into Christianity, the history and chronology of which we can follow from the first to the last page of the Bible.

Why?

Abraham, without doubt, had the responsibility to follow the religion of his God: the God of Adam and Eve, the God of Noah, the same God of him, Abraham and his sons Isaac and Jacob, and finally, the same God of Jesus.
We read how God demands from Abraham that he follows the religion God bestowed upon him and his descendants, demanding they be good, loving people and ‘do no murder’. Then we read how from Judaism Christianity is born: the doctrine of Jesus.  Now God demands that men must be extremely good: love their neighbors like themselves, not avenge eye for and eye, but forgive etc.  With all this we see that Christianity perfectly syncs with Judaism and the statues from the God of Abraham. No force is demanded, no violence, no conquering, no subjection: only an invitation to follow a set of commandments and rituals, take it or leave it. Thus we see and understand that Judaism and Christianity are perfectly in sync with the religion from the God of Abraham,  Isaac and Jacob, the same God being the God of Noah and the God of Adam and Eve. Thus Christianity and Judaism are not just religions from descendants of Abraham, but religions from the God of Abraham  = Abrahamic Religion.

Note: in the old testament we do read how the Hebrews kill opponents on their way to Israel, but that is only when God told them to (for God cannot murder, because he created men: he can only kill). Hence those Hebrews did not murder but merely killed in self-defense.

ABOUT ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND ISHMAEL

GEN  16: 1 Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
GEN  16: 2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
GEN  16: 3 And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.  (Cliff: with  ‘to be his wife’ here is meant: to let him go into her).

GEN  16: 4 And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
GEN  16: 5 And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the LORD judge between me and thee.
GEN  16: 6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thine hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.

GEN  16: 7 And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.
GEN  16: 8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.
GEN  16: 9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.
GEN  16: 10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
GEN  16: 11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
GEN  16: 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

GEN  17: 3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

GEN  17: 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
GEN  17: 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
GEN  17: 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
GEN  17: 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
GEN  17: 8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.  (Cliff: Canaan now is called ‘Palestine’)

GEN  17: 15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
GEN  17: 16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
GEN  17: 19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
GEN  17: 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

GEN  21: 9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

GEN  21: 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

GEN  21: 11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son.
GEN  21: 12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
GEN  21: 13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

GEN  21: 14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning,

and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.GEN  21: 15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
GEN  21: 16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
GEN  21: 17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
GEN  21: 18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

...And The Gates Of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against It
Through the ages, Catholics and other Nicolaitans defied the above quotation by Jesus,
oppressing and murdering many, deceiving and misleading many more.
But they have not and shall not prevail against
'His Church'.
