Bishop Wayne R. Felton was born and raised in Utica, NY, the youngest of four children, by his mother who was divorced. It was his mother who was instrumental in instilling disciplines in his life such as mandatory church attendance & involvement, especially Sunday school at the House of God Church. This tutelage seemed to be the breeding ground for the greatness which lied ahead for him.
After graduation from high school, he ventured to Alabama to attend Tuskegee University. It was not long before the Lord captured his attention on that campus. He received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire on May 19, 1988.
Upon graduation from Tuskegee with a BS degree in Political Science and English, he attended and graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity, and worked on a PhD at the University of Kentucky, which is yet in progress. He relocated to Minneapolis in 1999, and shortly after was lead to establish and pastor The Holy Christian Church.
